MIOG has partnered with the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) in efforts to develop skills in the production of Green Hydrogen. This initiative is part of GIZ’s ongoing efforts to incorporate sustainable energy solutions into technical curricula, aiming to prepare the workforce for emerging industries in the green energy sector.
Green hydrogen is produced through water electrolysis and is powered by renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, offering a clean and sustainable alternative to traditional hydrogen production, which relies on fossil fuels.
This environmentally friendly process plays a key role in decarbonizing industries such as transportation, manufacturing, and energy storage. As the world transitions to a low-carbon economy, green hydrogen is gaining increasing recognition for its potential to reduce emissions, create jobs, and promote energy independence.
The partnership aims to explore the possibility of incorporating Green Hydrogen production into MIOG ‘s training programs, either by integrating the subject matter into existing curricula or by developing specialized, new courses.
