About Course

This 40-hour practical short course introduces the art and science of mixology for bars,
hotels, restaurants, and events. It covers spirits knowledge, cocktail families, bar tools,
techniques, recipe creation, and responsible service. 80% hands-on behind the bar.
Designed to take complete beginners and experienced bar tenders to job-ready bar back or junior bartender level, with a focus on high-volume hotel bars standards.

Graduates can apply for: Bar Back, Junior Bartender, Beach Bar Attendant, or Events Mixologist. Pathway to WSET Level 1 Spirits, Advanced Flair, or Flair Bartending.

Assessment

  • Assessment combines practical bar skills and a speed round (70%), theory quizzes (15%), and professionalism, hygiene and bar cleanliness (15%). A minimum overall score of 70% is required to pass.
