Every year, organizations, safety professionals, and teams across Kenya unite to promote safer and healthier workplaces. The Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health Services (DOSHS) Competitions provide a dynamic platform where this commitment comes alive. They form a key part of the country’s activities leading up to World Day for Safety and Health at Work on 28 April 2026.
In 2026, the prestigious event returns with renewed energy. It will bring together industry leaders, innovators, and safety champions to showcase excellence in occupational safety and health. This year, MIOG-NP will host the competitions from 24th to 25th April 2026 at its Fire and Safety Training Centre in Eldoret. The venue offers an ideal setting for learning, collaboration, and demonstration of best practices.
Participants will take part in high-stakes emergency response challenges and rigorous workplace safety evaluations. They will demonstrate practical skills such as first aid response and fire emergency preparedness. These skills save lives and protect livelihoods. Organizations across sectors will also receive recognition for implementing outstanding safety systems and fostering a culture where every worker matters.
