MIOG-NP is set to graduate its second cohort of the International Welder Diploma. The milestone reflects the institution’s commitment to producing globally competitive industry professionals.
The graduation ceremony will take place on 2nd June 2026 at the MIOG-NP Nairobi Campus. During the event, the institute will celebrate trainees who completed the globally aligned welding programme successfully. Offered in partnership with Southern African Institute of Welding, the programme addresses the growing demand for skilled welders in local and international markets.
In addition, the ceremony will bring together trainees, instructors, institutional leaders, industry stakeholders, and invited guests. The gathering will recognize the graduates’ dedication, resilience, and achievements throughout the intensive training programme.
The International Welder Diploma equips trainees with practical skills, technical expertise, and safety competencies that meet international industry standards. Furthermore, the programme combines hands-on training with industry-focused instruction. As a result, graduates gain the skills needed for the oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, and engineering sectors.
The graduation will also showcase MIOG-NP’s growing reputation as a centre of excellence in technical and vocational education. Through specialized welding certification programmes, the institution continues to strengthen Kenya’s technical workforce. Moreover, MIOG-NP aligns its training with global industry standards to improve graduate employability and competitiveness.
As the graduates prepare to join the workforce, the ceremony highlights the institute’s vision of bridging the technical skills gap. At the same time, it demonstrates MIOG-NP’s commitment to empowering young professionals with internationally recognized and employable qualifications.
