In November 2025, the Morendat Institute of Oil and Gas National Polytechnic (MIOG-NP) will officially mark a transformative milestone in Kenya’s education and energy sectors, a moment that not only cements its place in the nation’s academic landscape but also reaffirms its mission of producing world-class technical talent for the region and beyond.
This highly anticipated event, set to take place at the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) Headquarters in Nairobi’s Industrial Area, will celebrate MIOG’s formal recognition as a National Polytechnic, as established under Legal Notice No. 50 of The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Act (Cap. 210A), dated 30th September 2024. The National Polytechnic marks a new chapter for MIOG, once a specialized training center within the Oil and Gas industry
