About Course
The course comprises 30% basic theory and 70% practical. It covers the fundamentals of common industry motors, traditional motor starters and an introduction to advanced technology motor starters. At the end of this training the participants are expected to acquire skills, knowledge and attitudes required by an electrician to completely maintain common motors and motor starters.
Motors play a crucial role in the production industry as prime movers. Any unplanned stoppage of production due to motors and starters failures can have serious safety and economic impact to a firm. It is thus important to ensure equipment availability is maintained and down times if any take short durations in order to minimize production stoppage. This can be achieved by proper understanding of motors and motor starters maintenance.
