MIOG–NP proudly celebrates the culmination of an intensive three-and-a-half-month training under the ISO 9606-1 International Certified Welder Program, as students sit for their final examinations. For the first time since the program’s inception, this cohort is also pursuing the prestigious International Welder Diploma, an advanced qualification that combines both the practical and theoretical dimensions of welding.
Over the course of the training, our trainees have undergone an intense and transformative journey. Through hands-on practice, theory sessions, and continuous assessment, they have mastered the skills required under ISO 9606-1 and honed their expertise across multiple welding processes, including the highly specialized Plate and Tube techniques demanded by modern industries. This combination of practical skill and theoretical knowledge has shaped them into welders capable of taking on complex projects with confidence and precision.
This achievement has been made possible through MIOG-NP’s strategic partnership with the South African Institute of Welding (SAIW), anAuthorized Nominated Body (ANB) under the International Institute of Welding (IIW). This collaboration gives MIOG the mandate to offer IIW Diplomas in International Fillet, Plate, and Pipe/Tube Welding, ensuring that our alumni graduate with globally recognized certifications.
The success of this cohort is a testament to MIOG-NP’s unwavering commitment to training at international standards. By aligning with globally recognized bodies and continuously raising the bar in technical training, we prepare every graduate to deliver excellence on par with the best in the world.
Additionally, MIOG-NP has also enrolled its fifth cohort of the ISO 9606-1 International Certified Welder Program. Building on the achievements of the previous cohorts, this new group of trainees embarks on their journey with the same promise of world-class training, hands-on experience, and internationally benchmarked qualifications, ensuring the pipeline of skilled welders for Kenya’s industries continues to grow stronger.
