OVERVIEW
The Research and Innovation Department of the Morendat Institute of Oil and Gas strives to strengthen Kenya Pipeline Company’s best practice applications in operations and specifically the Morendat Institute’s position as a research-intensive institution with regional and global reach, and is central to advancing the Institute’s Strategic Objective 3: Conduct Research and offer consultancy services in various technical fields in Oil & Gas Pipelines
Through engagement with internal and external stakeholders, the research and innovation department aligns research interests and expertise with institutional, industry and national priorities.
The Department is led by a Deputy Director who reports to the Director of the institute and is comprised of the following arms: Research Administration; Research Intelligence; Strategic Research Support; Innovation as well as The African Journal of Energy, Engineering and Training that has an editorial board.
The African Journal of Energy, Engineering and Training (AJEET)
The African Journal of Energy, Engineering and Training (AJEET) is a peer reviewed journal published by the Morendat Institute of Oil and gas. Morendat Institute of Oil & Gas (MIOG) offers training in oil & gas related courses. It was set up following a heads of state summit consisting of Presidents of Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and South Sudan during the 3rd Heads of State Summit held in Kigali, Rwanda, on October 28, 2013.
