MIOG-NP proudly celebrates the culmination of an intensive three-and-a-half-month training under the ISO 9606-1 International Certified Welder Programme. This marks the second cohort to undertake the International Welder Diploma—an advanced qualification that combines both practical and theoretical welding skills.
Throughout the programme, trainees mastered ISO 9606-1 requirements while building expertise in multiple welding processes. These include highly specialized Plate and Tube welding techniques, which are in high demand across modern industries.
MIOG-NP achieved this milestone through its strategic partnership with the Southern African Institute of Welding (SAIW), an Authorized Nominated Body under the International Institute of Welding (IIW). This collaboration allows MIOG-NP to offer IIW Diplomas in International Fillet, Plate, and Pipe/Tube Welding. As a result, graduates earn globally recognized certifications that open doors to international career opportunities.
Moreover, this achievement highlights MIOG’s commitment to delivering training that meets global standards. By aligning with international bodies and continuously improving its programmes, MIOG ensures that every graduate is industry-ready and capable of delivering excellence.
The training journey has been both rigorous and transformative. Over the three-and-a-half months, trainees engaged in hands-on practice, intensive theory sessions, and continuous assessments. Consequently, they are now well-prepared to take on complex welding projects with confidence.
